"You choose, we play" was the motto when we gave our audience the opportunity to choose a work for the second half. On the ballot were works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Joseph Haydn and Franz Schubert.
And the winner is ... Franz Schubert! The absolute majority of the audience wished for Schubert's "Tragic Symphony", which has therefore made it onto the program list of the Wish Concert and will be played for you on 4 April!
The first part of the program will be performed by the winners of the Werner Pirchner Prize 2024: clarinettist Joscha Kremsler, currently a student at the Freiburg University of Music, and Achille Fait, principal horn of the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne since 2023. Conductor Tobias Wögerer, who comes from Linz and has been Kapellmeister at the Vienna Volksoper since 2022, will be the musical director.
