Wissen|schaf(f)t Gesundheit: Snoring - just a nocturnal disturbance?

"Wissen|schaf(f)t Gesundheit" is a series of lectures organized by the Medical University of Innsbruck. Doctors and researchers present the current state of research to an interested public in an understandable way.
Many people are familiar with it, either as a direct sufferer or as an annoyed or worried bed partner. Snoring is a very common phenomenon and almost every second person suffers from it. Snoring is a loud noise that occurs when you breathe in during sleep. But can snoring also be dangerous? How should snoring be diagnosed and what treatment options are available?
Benedikt Hofauer, Director of the University Clinic for Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine, will explain all of this in his lecture. He will also explain what needs to be considered if snoring is accompanied by breathing interruptions, i.e. sleep apnea.
Free admission, no registration required, admission from 18:00 in the main lecture hall (Audimax). The lecture can also be followed as a livestream.
