Wandlungen - concert, Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik

Under the direction of harpsichordist Elina Albach, the Ensemble Continuum has dedicated itself to arranging Baroque works for several years.
While their past endeavors involved downsizing large-scale pieces, this purely instrumental program focuses on translating solo works composed for the organ by Johann Sebastian Bach into chamber music dimensions. Inspired by the poem "Transcription of Organ Music" by the American poet Allen Ginsberg, a prominent representative of the "Beat Generation", this touchingly beautiful programme seeks new and surprising ways to bring the genius, madness and depth of Bach's organ works to life.
