"From military hospital to storehouse of knowledge. 100 years of the library on the Innrain."

The University and Provincial Library of Tyrol is celebrating a milestone anniversary on the occasion of the move into the main library in 1924: exactly 100 years ago, on October 23, 1924, what is now the Historical Reading Room was opened.
The event deals with the building history of the building and shows the events surrounding the construction project between 1911 and 1914 as well as its use as a military hospital during the First World War through to its renovation and opening in the 1920s.
