Johann Sebastian Bach's music is something for the ears, the heart and this time also for the eyes: accompanied by a specially designed film language, the Ensemble Diderot offers the audience an all-round sensory experience. On drei giant screens, the video art, the sixth member of the ensemble, reacts to the sounds and body language of the musicians, making them tangible in a magiway. Bach's Musical Offering becomes a total work of art that stimulates a dialog between spirit and emotion in a new way. Pierre Nouvel on his video concept: "The images allow us to depict Bach's approach and the construction of the work. This explanatory approach is purely graphic and visual and gradually turns abstract. The notes give way to moving forms that run parallel to the music. Finally, with the help of the original score and inspired by the interpretation of the Ensemble Diderot, virtual landscapes are created in which the complexity of Bach's work is poetically realized - thus creating contemplative spaces in which the audience can wander and lose themselves in the meanderings of the work."
