HDM in Concert: Kick-off - KONSPrecollege

As part of the "Auftakt" series, a top-class group of students from the Precollege at the Tyrolean State Conservatory will perform a varied program based around the "godfather" of Western music, Johann Sebastian Bach. A series of his masterpieces for keyboard instruments and more meet one of the quiet greats of modern music, the French sound poet Henri Dutilleux, in a gripping concert full of rich virtuosity, who fills old forms anew, as Bach already did, with spirit, heart and wit. This also applies to Franz Liszt, who was not only the pianist of all pianists, but also a visionary avant-gardist of his time. And Paganini? Bach wrote the Old Testament of violin music, so to speak, while the "devil's violinist" from Genoa wrote the New Testament. And they all loved the Thomaskantor, J. S. Bach.
