Healthy and sustainable mobility at any age: how and why?

As part of the European Mobility Week 2024, a week dedicated to sustainable mobility, an afternoon lecture on "Healthy and sustainable mobility at any age: how and why?" will take place on September 18, 2024 at the Innsbruck City Library.
Admission starts at 16:45. The four lectures will begin at 17:00, with the opportunity to ask questions or make comments after each lecture. Admission is free and registration is not required. The event will end promptly at 19:45 after a get-together.

Program:
* Dr. Christoph Schraffl, general practitioner and public health officer, will speak about measures to maintain mobility in chronic illnesses such as arthritis, diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and the importance of such measures.
* Michael Urschitz MSc, a qualified health and nursing professional, will focus on the topic of mobility in old age.
* MMag.a Elisabeth Happ PhD, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Sports Science at the University of Innsbruck, and Prof.in Dr.in Ursula Scholl-Grissemann, Associate University Professor at the Division of Management in Health and Sports Tourism at UMIT, Campus Landeck, will present their study in which the mobility behavior of 500 children in Tyrol was analyzed to answer the questions of what effects exercise has on the mental health of children and what possibilities there are for active mobility on the way to school.
* Finally, Lucia Fuchs M.Eng., consultant for mobility strategy in the citymagistrat of Innsbruck, will explain changes and trends in mobility behavior and what steps urban planning can take to make sustainable mobility more attractive to the population.
