Fatti di Innsbruck - Collisions with consequences
Fatti di Innsbruck
Clashes with consequences
The nationality conflicts of the late Habsburg Monarchy did not stop at Innsbruck. The events that turned Innsbruck into the scene of violent clashes between Italian-speaking students and the German-speaking population on the night of November 3 to 4, 1904 were known as the "Fatti di Innsbruck". Numerous people were injured during the ordered military operation. Tragically, the painter August Pezzey was killed. In the days that followed, Italian stores were vandalized and Italian-speaking people were attacked. Immerse yourself with us in the atmosphere of the late Austro-Hungarian monarchy!
With: Christof Aichner
When: Saturday, September 13, 2025, 10 a.m
Where: Karl-Rahner-Platz, Old University
Tickets (5.00 EUR) are only available in advance at the Stadtarchiv/Stadtmuseum Innsbruck (Badgasse 2).
