Excursion ants - The really big crawl

Ants are omnipresent and every child knows them. But what role do they play in the ecosystem? What do ants feed on? Do they all sting? What is a super colony? How many species are there anyway?
We will immerse ourselves in the fascinating world of ants on a short, easy hike in the settlement area and at the whaledrand. You will see ants with different eyes afterwards - and not just in the kitchen.
