FantazzTico Circus

Circo Fantazztico is the first social circus project in Costa Rica, based in the province of Pérez Zeledón. What began as a project in a community in which some children took part in football activities, handicrafts and homework help is now a project that works in various areas such as communities, schools and orphanages and uses circus education as a means of intervention. The low-threshold programme offers children and young people, regardless of their socio-economic status, a safe place where they can learn physical skills, social skills and new ways of expressing themselves. All minors should have free access to play, education, art, means of communication and cultural freedom as a basis for equality. Circo FantazzTico's new show ‘The Language of Clouds’ tells the story of a curious and funny character who embarks on an adventure through the lively neighbourhood to discover the inestimable value of life. A character who reminds us of the transience of life. The production combines acrobatics, dance and juggling to create a unique piece of circus theatre. Socially critical themes are brought to the stage without losing the artistic touch and fascination of the circus world.
