A bench in the park. Martha is almost 80 and well off. The former headmistress has a humanist education, is a member of the association for the reintroduction of the Latin mass, eloquent and used to setting the tone. One day she meets Vicky, who is 30 years her junior. The unemployed nurse is rather plain, likes to embroider for a living and tries to supplement her income by selling death insurance. Realising that they could benefit from each other, they tentatively approach each other. Over time, the two develop a deep bond and have a wonderful time together until fate reshuffles the cards...
