Ever since the Yugoslavian revolutionary monuments were captured by Western photographers and went viral as impressive photo series on the internet, they have been experiencing a dazzling revival. Suddenly you can see the impressive sculptures on book covers, in music videos and video games, in fashion photography or in miniature form on online shopping sites. Their highly controversial social and political context has largely been lost in the process.
