Concert musicals are always a very special experience because without scenery or other effects, the singers and musicians on stage are the main focus. This has been achieved quite brilliantly in "The Music of Les Misérables" and with an exceptionally well chosen cast.
The show comes to life when these strong-voiced soloists take the stage together with the chorus. Under the direction of Stephen Ellery, these great vocal performances shine with wonderful sounds, embedded in the original scenes of the globally successful 2012 film on the big screen.
