Experience a challenging and varied sonata evening on the 1st Sunday in Advent with the internationally successful young violinist Julian Walder and his excellent partner Mayuko Obuchi at the piano.
In May of this year, Julian Walder represented Austria in Indonesia on the occasion of 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, performing the Korngold Violin Concerto in the Jakarta Concert Hall with the Jakarta Concert Orchestra. Concerts have taken him to the Vienna Musikverein, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Carnegie Weill Recital Hall in New York and the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow. He has won prizes at many international competitions, such as the Grumiaux Violin Competition in Belgium, the Osaka Music Competition in Japan and the Henri Marteau Violin Competition in Germany.

Julian has already released his second CD worldwide and has been teaching a violin master class at the renowned Lilienfeld Summer Academy in Lower Austria since the age of 21. Together with the outstanding Japanese pianist Mayuko Obuchi, we can offer you an unforgettable concert evening at the Haus der Musik Innsbruck. Mayuko is not only a multiple first prize winner of international piano competitions such as the Sakai International Piano Competition and the Anton Rubinstein Competition in Düsseldorf, she is also a sought-after chamber music partner at the Salzburg Festival, among others.
