Poetry Slam & Musikatella

Poetry slam is the oral literary form of the present day and Innsbruck has been a poetry slam stronghold for over 20 years. Whether in competition form or, as this time, as a slam show: the big questions of humanity are dealt with as well as the small annoyances of everyday life. You can expect language juggling, dialect spurts and word cascades. It's all about everything - sometimes even about joining in, and in any case there will be laughter, amazement and cheering. The original compositions are an exciting mixture of jazz, folk music, klezmer, Latin, blues and flamenco. You can also hear a hint of Arabic, Nordic and spherical sounds. The sound is groovy and spirited, reserved, but also cheeky, sensitive, stormily rough, earthy and funny. Listening to it, you are tempted to let yourself be carried away to distant lands, but also to nearby valleys and mountains. Or even create new worlds in your head.
