Operetta gala of the Budapest Operetta Theatre in Innsbruck

As a further step in the promotion of Hungarian culture, the Budapest Operetta Theatre will give a major gala concert in Innsbruck on 31 March 2025 in the ‘Innsbruck’ hall of the Congress Building as part of the ‘Culture comes to your home’ programme series. Melodies by the greatest composers will be performed in Hungarian and German. In addition to the evergreens of the most popular operettas by Franz Lehár and Emmerich Kálmán, the appreciative audience can also listen to the work of Johann Strauss, performed by the Chamber Orchestra of the Budapest Operetta Theatre. The well-known artists Annamari Dancs, Barbara Bordás, Mónika Fischl, Péter Laki, Ninh Duc Hoang Long and Zsolt Homonnay will take the audience into the wonderful world of operetta with melodies from the operettas ‘The Land of Smiles’, ‘The Princess of Czardas’, ‘Countess Mariza’ and other works. This important Hungarian cultural event is the first performance of this magnitude in Innsbruck. Operetta is an essential part of our common Hungarian-Austrian historical and cultural heritage and still connects our countries through art today.
