New years concert / Valerie Fritz: Cello

Not only high culture has a New Year's concert. We are following a fine tradition and welcoming the New Year on 3 January 2025 with music and cordially invite our members and our audience to start the New Year together. Admission is free! Works by Steve Reich, Michael Gordon, Matthias Bartolomey and Arturo Fuentes. Austrian cellist Valerie Fritz works with both classical and contemporary music, developing her repertoire in close dialogue with composers such as Helmut Lachenmann and Thomas Larcher. She studied at the Mozarteum Salzburg and explores her instrument from electronics to gut strings. Her musical approach is based on a personal conception of sound, which she explores on the instrument independently of technical analyses. Valerie Fritz performs at major festivals, including the Salzburg Festival, Klangspuren Schwaz and the Schumannfest at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf.
