"Nachtland" is a dark, biting comedy about a curious inheritance dispute. In addition to worthless household goods, a painting of unknown provenance from the decade of the 20th century is at stake. After all, it is speculated that the estimated value is in the 6-digit range, assuming that the painting is the work of a prominent author. For such capital temptations, the descendants are quickly prepared to manipulate even the "flawless" anti-Nazi family history. But then everything turns out quite differently... (Irmgard Lübke)
