Schubert songs for wind octet & love stories on the big screen Following the success of Ilse Aichinger's Die Spiegelgeschichte and the acclaimed play Kein leichtes Mädchen by Elisabeth de Roo - directed by Thomas Lackner and performed at ORF Vienna's Radiokulturhaus - the de Roo & Lackner team are devoting their latest production, Liebesfilm Konzert, to the subject of happiness. In collaboration with the renowned film director Antonius Bacak, who captured touching love stories of couples together with Elisabeth de Roo last year, a unique work was created. These moving interviews are presented on the big screen and accompanied by songs by Franz Schubert, arranged for wind octet and vocals. The arrangements are by Bernhard Schlögl, who has put together a wind octet from his Tyrolean Symphonic Wind Orchestra for this special project and will conduct the octet. Of course, an evening with Thomas Lackner and Elisabeth de Roo is not just about music and film - the audience can look forward to a special mixture of cinema, song recital and drama that appeals to all the senses and awakens emotions.
