About the book:
Lima, a young woman, flees the stressful city for the mountains, where she stays with an old woman. At university she studies female desire, while in her private life she seeks a break from friends, family and the crisis-ridden present. But here, too, the dry forest crackles ominously. When she meets Michael, who seems to be from another time, a tender connection develops - until he suddenly disappears and the June heat becomes unbearable. Theodora Bauer tells a mysterious love story set against the backdrop of an eerily beautiful mountain landscape.
