  • Innsbruck, Gallery Mathias Mayr [M2]
In this year's fall exhibition at our M2 Gallery, we are showing three important Tyrolean artists, Wilfried Kirschl, Walter Nagl and Markus Vallazza, whose work has had a lasting impact on the local art and cultural landscape. The intensive exploration of the medium of graphic art forms a unifying bracket in this exhibition, which in the case of Kirschl (pastel/red chalk) and Vallazza (etching/drawing) in particular takes up a large and important part of their respective oeuvres. Walter Nagl's approach to drawing, based on the invention of form in sculpture, is again very clearly perceptible in the finely modulated oil paintings. The exhibition shows a cross-section of works in various graphic techniques, as well as oil paintings and watercolors and also includes some rarities and offerings - including from the Krings Collection, which has already been shown.
