And it has been doing so for 40 years now: the ensemble from the proverbial centre of Austria celebrated its milestone birthday in 2023. It is not very often that a jazz ensemble exists for such a long period of time - reason for a musical collaboration that has long been on the wish list: Hubert von Goisern will also be on stage with the Lungau BigBand for a few selected dates in 2024.
