Reichenau memorial

In autumn 2023, the city of Innsbruck launched a competition to design a memorial site in the area of the former labour education camp in Reichenau, where thousands of people were unjustly imprisoned between 1941 and 1945 in the Nazi camp complex there and over a hundred people were cruelly murdered. In addition to the winning project, the exhibition also shows all the other competition entries and thus six very different and exciting approaches to the subject of the culture of remembrance.
