Cesti Competition - final concert, Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik

At the conclusion of the Festwochen comes the grand finale: the competition for Baroque opera singing, the «Pietro Antonio Cesti» competition. After the preliminary rounds, the top contestants must face the jury and the audience again during the final concert, competing for the coveted prizes. The most talented candidates have the chance to participate in the Barockoper:Jung 2025, among other opportunities. The audience in the Great Hall at the House of Music also plays a significant role through the audience voting for the Audience Prize.
The Cesti competition has long been a springboard for international singing careers. Former prize winners like Sophie Rennert, Emöke Baráth, Rupert Charlesworth, or Arianna Vendittelli now perform on some of the world's most prestigious concert stages. And the stars of tomorrow are already waiting in the wings!
