Thomas Kargl is a former competitive athlete and comes from windsurfing.
After studying design and product management in Salzburg and Barcelona, he worked for two years as a product manager at the sustainable consumer brand Frosch. After joining as Head of Marketing and soon moving into product development, he also made a lasting change to an Austrian map publisher. After several years of product development for numerous outdoor books and entire series, he launched his first self-published book on the market. Born in Salzburg in 1987, he now lives in Tyrol in the heart of the Alps. With his camera on the mountain or on his bike, he has developed not only as a photographer but also as an author, contributing texts and photos to a large number of books.
