‘I would love to suck this picture dry, stick a straw in it and drink my fill of it. (...)’ A young author with burnout and writer's block takes refuge in her own book and embarks on a surreal (road) trip with her mother: to CAPRI. A wild ride through transgenerational female exhaustion and (care) work begins. Because the irony of recovery is that it only exists for the sake of work. The South Tyrolean author Anna Gschnitzer light-footedly and ludicrously circles around themes such as classism, the female duty of care and the illnesses of our time, between the feeling of being chronically out of place and exhaustion.
