Exhibition: Elke Krismer

Elke Krismer received the FRITZI GERBER PRIZE 2022 - SMALL PLASTIC - plastic, figure, sculpture and objects in small format.
She is showing glass art, textile art and paintings in the Nothburga Gallery until November 9th, 2024.
Statement by the artist about her work:
In terms of content, my work is about movement - about mental movement and further development / transformation of the individual, the movement / interaction of individuals towards and with each other and about movement / change in life / the world...
The world is in motion, up and down, apparent opposites that attract and / or repel each other. The interaction of objects / individuals and the field of tension between them interests me. Consciously or accidentally - through movement / light - something new emerges and at the same moment begins to change again - to transform in the sense of further development / change.
The fourth dimension and thus light and shadow (also interaction of the individual with the environment) are present in almost all of my works, regardless of which of the different techniques I work with and whether they are paintings or objects.
On Friday November 8th, 2024 at 5 p.m. Elke Krismer will give a lecture as part of the premiere days 2024: “Studio Glass Movement - Modern Glass Art”
The artist will be present in the gallery every Friday.
