25th Alpine Folk Music Contest

Every two years, more than 700 young musicians and singers from four countries - Austria, Bavaria, South Tyrol and Switzerland - come together to showcase their skills at the most important international music competition for Alpine folk music in Europe, the Alpine Folk Music Competition.
With an extensive supporting programme ranging from a musicians' meeting to a folk dance festival, a large exhibition of sheet music, traditional costumes and instruments for sale, the special exhibition “The Fascination of Folk Music - 50 Years of the Alpine Folk Music Competition” and “Aufg'horcht in Innsbruck”, all music enthusiasts are sure to find something to suit them and can be there live.
